CT ANGIOGRAM HEAD WITH CONTRAST:

CLINICAL HISTORY: 11 years of age, Male, anatomy around cerebellar AVM.

FINDINGS:

BRAIN:  There has been interval placement of right frontal ventricular catheter with tip along the medial aspect of the frontal horn of the right lateral ventricle. Right lateral ventricle has decreased in size and is not enlarged. Mild left lateral ventriculomegaly is relatively stable. Residual evolving intraventricular hemorrhage is noted.

INTRACRANIAL ANGIOGRAM:

Tortuous and irregular appearance of the right posterior inferior cerebellar artery is identified coursing into a small arteriovenous malformation nidus measuring approximately 7 x 9 mm to the right of midline at the fourth ventricular hemorrhage site. Prominent midline venous structure may represent draining vermian vein, better characterized on prior angiogram.

There is no flow-limiting stenosis or aneurysm of the anterior circulation.
The dural venous sinuses are patent.

IMPRESSION:

1.  Interval ventricular catheter placement with tip along the medial aspect of the right frontal horn lateral ventricle and interval decrease in right lateral ventricular size. Mildly enlarged left lateral ventricle is stable.

2.  Evolving intraventricular hemorrhage.

3.  Posterior fossa AVM as detailed above.

(Cerebellar AVM)
