Neuro_CR_Neck: 55 F, swallowed a chicken bone.

XR Neck Soft Tissue, XR Neck Soft Tissue:

CLINICAL HISTORY: 55 years of age, Female, swallowed chicken bone, feels stuck.

COMPARISON: None.

PROCEDURE COMMENTS: Two views of the neck were obtained.

FINDINGS:
Non-anatomic linear ossific density projects over the pharynx at the level of the epiglottis and extends into the prevertebral soft tissues. Mild prevertebral soft tissue thickening with foci of gas. Incidental ossified stylohyoid ligament.

IMPRESSION: 
1.  Non-anatomic ossific density projects over the pharynx at the level of the epiglottis and extends into the prevertebral soft tissues, which are thickened with foci of gas. Findings are concerning for aerodigestive tract perforation, likely due to a chicken bone given history.
