CT HEAD WITHOUT CONTRAST:
CLINICAL HISTORY: 10 years of age, Female, altered mental status, deteriorating.
FINDINGS:
There is no ventriculomegaly.
There is no acute hemorrhage.
IMPRESSION:
1. Diffuse cerebral edema with effacement of the sulci and basilar cisterns. Etiology is nonspecific and may be infectious, toxic/metabolic, or global anoxic.
