Neuro_MR_IAC: 68 F with right CPA mass.

MRI INTERNAL AUDITORY CANAL AND TEMPORAL BONES WITH AND WITHOUT CONTRAST:

CLINICAL HISTORY: 68-year-old woman with a history of a presumed right endolymphatic sac tumor. Please evaluate.

FINDINGS:

Cerebellopontine angles/IACs: There is stable appearance of the 11 x 8 mm intrinsically T1 hyperintense mass seen in a retrolabyrinthine location projecting into the right cerebellopontine angle with associated increased ASL perfusion. No clear enhancement is seen. There appears to be extension into the endolymphatic duct and towards the vestibule.

Fluid spaces of the inner ears: Again seen is T1 hyperintense signal within the right-sided vestibule and semicircular canals, which may represent proteinaceous material. No abnormality is seen on the left side.

Mastoids and middle ears: Normal.

BRAIN:

Parenchyma: No acute hemorrhage, infarction, mass, or abnormal enhancement.

Ventricles and extra-axial spaces: Appropriate for age.

Orbits: Normal.

Visualized paranasal sinuses: Clear.

Bones: Normal.

Additional comment: None.

IMPRESSION:

1. Stable appearance of an 11 x 8 mm retrolabyrinthine mass with increased blood flow most compatible with an endolymphatic sac tumor. Hyperintense T1 signal within the right vestibule and semicircular canals may represent proteinaceous material.
