Neuro_MR_Brain: 60 M, right pulsatile tinnitus.
MRI BRAIN STROKE PROTOCOL WITH AND WITHOUT CONTRAST:
CLINICAL HISTORY: 58-year-old male with history of right-sided pulsatile tinnitus with right dural arteriovenous fistula.
FINDINGS:
BRAIN:
No restricted diffusion. Slight punctate high T2 signal in the bilateral frontal lobes, nonspecific. No hydrocephalus. No abnormal extra-axial collections.
On the 3-D time-of-flight MRA sequences, there is a
tangle of vessels superior and posterior to the right mastoid region extending along and within the junction of the right temporal and occipital bones and about the dura, compatible with a right-sided dural arteriovenous fistula.
Additional 3-D MRA reformats (series 1406 and 1407) have
subsequently been completed which also demonstrate the dural AV
fistula.
