Neuro_MR_Brain: 57 M, left pontine hemorrhage.

MRI BRAIN WITHOUT CONTRAST:

CLINICAL HISTORY: 55-year-old man with left pontine cavernous malformation, presurgical planning.

FINDINGS:

Parenchyma: Lobulated, heterogeneous lesion with regions of T1 hyperintensity in the left pons and hemosiderin ring most compatible with cavernous malformation is again seen, measures 2.1 x 1.8 cm, previously 2.0 x 1.6 cm, minimal change in size, with mild interval change and internal T2 signal characteristics suggestive of interval
evolution. Mild surrounding edema posteriorly is unchanged. No acute or extra lesional hemorrhage. No acute infarct. No new lesion.

Ventricles and extra-axial spaces: Appropriate for age.

Orbits: Normal.

Visualized paranasal sinuses: Mild ethmoidal sinus mucosal
thickening, otherwise clear.

Mastoid air cells: Clear.

Bones: Normal.

Additional comment: None.

IMPRESSION:

1. Evolving likely left pontine cavernous malformation, with change in signal characteristics but without significant change in size, with stable mild surrounding edema.
