CLINICAL HISTORY: 10 years of age, Female, multiple sclerosis, optic neuritis.

FINDINGS:

There are multiple lesions within the periventricular and subcortical white matter; a number of the lesions demonstrate enhancement, some showing cavitation. There is no comparison study to evaluate changes in lesion number and distribution; correlate with prior imaging, as available.
There is no evidence of restricted diffusion.
There is a left cerebellar developmental venous anomaly.
There is intense T2 signal abnormality and enhancement of the left optic nerve, consistent with optic neuritis.

IMPRESSION:

1. Left optic neuritis.
