MRI BRAIN WITH AND WITHOUT CONTRAST:

CLINICAL HISTORY: 26-year-old man with AMS.

FINDINGS:

Parenchyma, ventricles, and extra-axial spaces: Multifocal, asymmetric T2/FLAIR signal abnormality associated with subcortical and periventricular white matter lesions demonstrating incomplete ring enhancement in the bilateral frontal, parietal and temporal lobes. No associated mass effect. No acute infarct or hemorrhage.

Orbits: Normal.

Visualized paranasal sinuses: Mild mucosal thickening in the
maxillary and sphenoid sinuses, and small amount of frothy debris
layering in the left maxillary sinus

Mastoid air cells: Clear.

Bones: Stable right frontal burr hole changes, otherwise unremarkable.

Additional comment: None.

IMPRESSION:

1.  Evolution of cerebral white matter lesions compatible with ADEM,
with further interval decrease in size of lesions. No enhancement or
new lesion.
